One of the many D-Day maps found back in the day, the T & O Division is never listed at Utah, the Ivy Division and the Big Red One and the Blue & Grey on Omaha always were.

Good question. I believe off the top of my head its because the 90th div as a whole wasnt committed to action untill around D-Day +4. I believe it was only a small element of the division that was engaged in the initial landings on June 6.

At least thats my understanding.

It was elmts of the 359th Infantry that landed on Utah, they come ashore starting at 1000 Hrs, it along with the 8th Infantry of the 4th Division, the 8th Infantry being the primary assault unit, starting at 630 Hrs, so at Utah, two regiments from two different divisions like at Omaha, there, the 16th Infantry of the 1st Division and the 116th Infantry of the 29th Division.
