French Awards Awarded to American Volunteers in American Field Service

What is the name of the ribbon to the right? I know I have seen the ribbon before but can not find it identified on line. I believe it was awarded to American's who volunteered to drive ambulances in France as part of the American Field Service.

Bill,

I stand corrected; I just checked first addition Call Of Duty and found it on page 169. Thanks, the uniform that it is on is attributed to a WWI Doughboy killed in the First World War and was too young to have served in SPANAM.

 

 

That said it would not be the first time a soldier bought the wrong ribbon, because he did serve on the Mexican Border in 1916.

I read in a 1995 Gleim Auction that this was also a commercial purchase (unofficial) Mexican Border Ribbon too.

[Croix de Guerre]

The other ribbon, the green and red is for the French Croix de Guerre.   Attached is an example of the Croix de Guerre and the American Field Service medal and ribbon.
