Sarchione Posted September 5, 2022 Share #2 Posted September 5, 2022 It’s a beautiful knife. Thanks for the heads up. One of my favorites to collect. I asked the seller what providence he had linking it to Major Harwick.
manayunkman Posted September 5, 2022 Share #3 Posted September 5, 2022 If there isn’t any provenance then you will need help from providence.
Sarchione Posted September 5, 2022 Share #4 Posted September 5, 2022 Can’t believe I did that. Well hopefully there is some provenance. It’s a knife I would like to add to my V42 collection but not worth anywhere near the price they are asking. I have bought way better for a lot less. SolWarrior Posted September 5, 2022 Share #5 Posted September 5, 2022 With a $200.00 shipping fee too.
Horseclover Posted September 5, 2022 Share #6 Posted September 5, 2022 ...or best offer https://www.ebay.com/itm/125497459858? 'It’s said that these knives could easily pierce a German helmet, and likely were used in great effect to do so.' Not much reason to read past that. manayunkman Posted September 5, 2022 Share #8 Posted September 5, 2022 There used to be an automatic spell check on the forum that wouldn’t let you use the word providence. Such a common mistake even experts on TV make it. When I first came to the USA I didn’t speak a lot of English. They put me in reading comprehension and vocabulary classes to get me up to speed. I had a tough time with those 2 words and remember it ever since.
BryanJ Posted September 5, 2022 Share #9 Posted September 5, 2022 If I win the lotto while it’s still around, I’d like to have it. Short of that, I’ll have to be satisfied to stare at my Case 1998 reproduction.
