USMC_COLLECTOR Posted September 3, 2022 Share #1 Posted September 3, 2022 I just dyed one of my tan paki belts od7 so I could do late war and korea. Here's a step by step process on what I did. Supplies needed Camel Rit dye Kelly Green Rit dye Dark Brown Rit dye Dark Green Rit dye I did 1/2 cup of Carmel dye, 1/2 cup of Kelly Green dye or full packet of powder dye, 1/4 cup of Dark Brown dye, 8-10 cap fulls of Dark Green dye, and 1 cup of salt. This solution all goes into 3 gallons of hot water, the hottest your bathtub faucet can go. I filled a 5 gallon bucket with 3 gallons and that leaves some good room. Stir for 10-15 minutes with your whole belt stirring in it. Unbutton every LTD fastener and snaps. Make sure to wear gloves and stir with a stick. Here are my results, I think it went pretty good for a first attempt. If anyone has any questions feel free to PM me.
USMC_COLLECTOR Posted September 5, 2022 Author Share #2 Posted September 5, 2022 New note, salt not recommended as it started to rust some of the metal snaps.
