_Will_ Posted September 1, 2022 Share #1 Posted September 1, 2022 Hi guys, Some photos taken last week at the Air American Museum in Duxford. A bit tiny for such amount of aircrafts but it's still an amazing place with some fantastic beauties ;) Some others, taken at the Fighter Collection and in other areas of the IWM. All the best. Will. sundance Posted September 1, 2022 Share #4 Posted September 1, 2022 That's an amazing collection. Are many of them airworthy? I'm red, white and blue through and through but I love those Hurricanes

warguy Posted November 7, 2022 Share #6 Posted November 7, 2022 Thanks very much for posting. I am headed to London for the first time this March. I posed the question “what is the best air museum representing both US and British warbirds” on another site and pretty much over whelmingly the answer was Duxford, so I am taking the trip to Cambridge while we are there. Did you see displays of flight jackets, uniforms equipment etc while there? If so, did you take any pictures of those displays? Thanks again for posting, I am very excited to visit. _Will_ Posted November 8, 2022 Author Share #7 Posted November 8, 2022 Hi guys, I’m glad you enjoyed this post. Most of the aircraft outside of the Air American Museum are still airworthy (a lot of spits & hurricanes, P-40’s, P-47…). It’s quite commun to see several take off when visiting Duxford (Corsair, Spit, Hurricane and P-40 on my last trip). There are some displays but unfortunately I didn’t take much photos of them. If you want both RAF and USAAF aircrafts, I think Duxford is the best place…and Cambridge is a great city with an amazing pub where aircrews used to hang out during the war. Some of them left a little souvenir on the ceiling 😉 https://live.staticflickr.com/7322/9562688167_f8b4ccb5f4_b.jpg You also have a fantastic museum at Hendon. Feel free to get in touch if you have any question 😉 All the best. Will
