patches Posted September 1, 2022 Share #1 Posted September 1, 2022 A real curious one, an unknown Pre War Early War Enlistedman, see, he's in the 369th Infantry, The Harlem Hell Fighters, it an all Black unit of the New York National Guard, that will in due course be redesignated as Coast Artillery, and it will remain all Black the whole war, and when it was reformed after the war in the late 40s, was Black and later Black and Puerto Rican for decades after, pretty sure it still is predominately to this day. The whys he is in this unit are totally unknown as he is an EM and not an Officer, if he was an Officer that would be easy to explain.
