Army ribbons with Arrowhead and 5+ stars - Let's see them

Hello, I was wanting to see original ribbon bars with the arrowhead and 5 plus stars. How did they fit that many?

 

I talked with two separate veterans that said they refused to use the silver star to replace 5. They said they were very proud of the ETO ribbon full of stars. How did they do that?
