Mark Costa Posted August 25, 2022 Share #1 Posted August 25, 2022 I am doing research on the Women's Ambulance and Defense Corps of America during WWII. I was wondering whether anyone can tell me the organizational structure of the group. The national HQ was located in Los Angeles. It seems to have only exited in California with a side group in Elmira NY . The WADCA seems to have been divided into Districts or battalions and/or companies of some sort and that cities or units were attached to their specific district. According to some sources that I have, there were about 70 units at the end of the war. Many of these "units" had their own arc tab that was worn underneath the WADCA sleeve patch., but only around 30 have been discovered over the years. Hopefully someone can advise as to how the organization was structured. Thank you. Mark
