USMC Service Record Book for Bulldog Mascot

I am sure some members saw this on eBay last week but wanted to post it for those who had not. 

 

I don't usually collect "Mascot" items but this was so cool (and rare, have only seen one other one) that I had to go for it. 

 

Plus, I could not resist the dogs name. "SLUG". Doesn't get better than that for a Marine Bulldog.

One of the coolest parts (for me) was something that the seller did not show on eBay. Behind Slug's adult photo was his puppy photo.

Here is the only other mascot service record book that I have seen. Part of a great group that Larry Stewart had from a bulldog named KING MICKEY. I of course saw it too late (after it was sold)
