Capt.Confederacy Posted August 10, 2022 Share #1 Posted August 10, 2022 Out of the flurry of patriotic items that appeared around the time of Desert Shield/Desert Storm, here is one of the more unusual ones, namely a coloring book. In this 1991-dated item, it basically tells about the lead up to war in ways a child could understand. It also depicts major figures like George H.W. Bush, Saddam Hussein, etc. If anyone wants to see any of the interior pages, let me know and I'll post them.
Mr.Jerry Posted October 6, 2022 Share #2 Posted October 6, 2022 That is pretty cool- I was working at a party store at that time and US flags and yellow ribbons were a hot commodity- it was nice to see a flurry of patriotism.

Indeed. I don't think I ever saw that many US flags being displayed and other patriotic items in my entire life up until the days after 9-11.
