Tpatcher Posted August 7, 2022 #1 Posted August 7, 2022 I know the left one is a Victory WWl and the right one is the Mexican Expedition. I just can't ID the wide one in the middle. Also is the aiguillette period to these awards?
BEAT_NAVY Posted August 7, 2022 #2 Posted August 7, 2022 The heavily faded one looks to be good conduct. The one attach to it possibly a unofficial ww1 victory though not sure on that.
usmedalman Posted August 24, 2022 #3 Posted August 24, 2022 Left to right, WWI Victory medal, unknown local WWI commemorative, unknown local WWI commemorative, Mexican Service Medal. The cord looks more like a WWI era campaign hat cord because of the knot/ball in the center. If it is a hat cord it would also have acorn-type tips on each end of the cord.
everforward Posted August 24, 2022 #4 Posted August 24, 2022 The third one over that is multi-colored is the (unofficial) Inter-Allied Victory Award ribbon, usually thought of as a souvenir....many soldiers received them during the welcome home parades and such. Wearing this along with the 'official' victory medal is a bit of overkill, but as you can see it didn't stop many people from doing it.
everforward Posted August 24, 2022 #5 Posted August 24, 2022 The very-faded 2nd ribbon in from the left may be a very early VFW ribbon, hard to tell.
