Army's Navy Capt. Hat Rank

Pin almost looks English made, any thoughts? Couldn't find any rank insignia in Emerson's book. Are these hard to find?  Put a full sized Army rank and hat sized Navy rate along side for comparison.  Thanks for any help.  Ken

WW2 era US Army Transportation Service (ATS) Lt collar insignia.  Really nice one

Thanks KurtA, so they used the same rank as the Navy, wasn't sure on that.

It’s a bit confusing in that ATS guys were not members of  The US Army.  They were civilian contractors who wore naval style uniforms and used a naval rank system

I don’t know. But it’s not typical US manufacture.   Whatever it is, it’s really nice.
