HD-Ghost Posted July 30, 2022 Share #1 Posted July 30, 2022 I believe this is an enlisted mess-hall plate I inherited from a relative. Diameter is about 5.5"; not very big for filling you stomach. But then again, men were smaller 100 years ago. There are no crack or chips, and looks be be in excellent condition. Is there a market for this, and what would be the value? HD-Ghost Posted July 30, 2022 Author Share #2 Posted July 30, 2022 Don't see how to edit this posting, so here is a change. The plate is 9.5" in diameter.
Usmc2004 Posted August 10, 2022 Share #3 Posted August 10, 2022 These are not as desirable as the officer mess plates with EGAs and colored pinstripes, however defiantly a market for them. The plain enlisted mess plates can usually be found in the $25-$50 range depending on size.
HD-Ghost Posted August 10, 2022 Author Share #4 Posted August 10, 2022 Is there a Marine website that would be best to sell this item?
Mr.Jerry Posted August 10, 2022 Share #5 Posted August 10, 2022 Once you get to 30 posts 'of substance' here- you will be allowed to sell on the "for sale" section. There are many, many Corps collectors here.
