Navy Swift Boat Mitchell cover

This Mitchell cover was given to me by Lt. Jg Steve Brannan of Swift Boat PCF48. The cover was found in the storage locker aboard the 48 it was left by the crew that mustered out when Lt. Brannan crew took over the PCF. Lt. Brannan ship home along with other things and has been in his possession since that time. 
 The cover belonged to Petty Officer Angelo Joseph (Tony) Caraffa. There’s nothing special about the cover but Swift boat covers are hard to find. I’m humbled that he allowed me to have it. The pictures of the 48 are of the time in country of Lt. Brannan but represents the same things that Petty Officer Caraffa would have experienced.

The helmet is mine not from the Swift boat.

What an absolutely awesome helmet Marty! It is so hard to find legit graffitied covers from Vietnam but, to find one that is ID'd to a swift boat vet? Nearly impossible! Wow!!

Correction.

The cover was found on PCF 21 not PCF 40.

Lt. Brannen was on the 21 first then the 40.

The cover was found June of 69 in the gun locker.
