Hey all,

I came across a neat photo at an antique store today. It's of a US soldier with what looks to be a Browning Auto-5 selfloading shotgun. I know these were used by US soldiers, but I can't find many photos of them actually being held by US soldiers. Hopefully this is of interest to y'all.

Don't forget the USGI Savage M720, also a John Browning design, which had a similar profile.  It is usually seen with a longer barrel and had a distinctive front sight which I don't detect on the shotgun in the photo in question.  Thus, I agree that it is probably a version of the Remington Model 11.

Can the shoulder patch on the soldier's photo be identified?

Neat photo.  If I had seen it I would have bought it, too!

The photo is unfortunately pretty blurry. The photographer may have been moving the camera when he took the photo.

I think it may be one of the Service Command patches? It's hard to make out.
