corpsman5 Posted July 18, 2022 Share #1 Posted July 18, 2022 Just thought I would share some pics of my 4 digit serial number, 1912 dated Colt 1911 U.S. Navy. I wish it was in better condition, but it is, what it is. At least it's all correct, with the exception of the replacement WWI era barrel.
ccyooper Posted July 19, 2022 Share #2 Posted July 19, 2022 Very nice, tough pistol to find in any condition. My friend has a 1914 that he changed the barrel to make it correct.
corpsman5 Posted July 19, 2022 Author Share #3 Posted July 19, 2022 I would love to find a correct barrel, but I've been looking for several years and haven't found one yet. Pricey barrels, but it would be worth it.
BryanJ Posted July 19, 2022 Share #4 Posted July 19, 2022 Looks like it’s in pretty good condition to me. Nice pistol!
Story Posted July 19, 2022 Share #5 Posted July 19, 2022 I find those sort of comfortably worn weapons to be far more appealing than anything pristine.

The pristine ones are undoubtedly more valuable but this one has nothing to be ashamed of! If you find a correct barrel I'd save the one that's in it now - it's likely been there a long time.
