This was a gift from a friend of mine. A very cool piece which was given to Clarence Pfaffenberger (see article below). I am trying to figure out who gave it to him. Can anyone help me with the name?

Going out on a limb here Eric, but it sort of looks like "Olive Erlanger." I believe that the "Erlanger" is accurate. The Olive, I admit is a stretch....

Great !! Thank you both so much. Much appreciated. 

 

Makes this a really interesting little artifact in my opinion. Pfaffenberger was the regional director of DFD (Bay Area, CA) and played a significant role in the establishment of the War Dog Training Center in San Carlos (where I lived for 20 years)
