Sneaky Posted July 7, 2022 Share #1 Posted July 7, 2022 (Mods, if this does not belong, feel free to remove) I have something alittle different for you folks today, and while it is not foreign it is a bringback and is certainly a spoil of war! This is a WW2 USN Jeep radio antenna, which my great uncle stole in 1945 along with the radio which did not survive to today. My great uncle passed away before I was born, leaving me with only the information my great grandpa has given me about it. From what I have been able to piece together, he served in the pacific theatre and was on a formerly Japanese occupied island when the war ended. I do not believe he was in the navy, and I have no clue how he was able to smuggle the entire radio out of the Jeep, into his bags and back to the US but here we are. If you have any questions please ask! I’ll answer to the best of my ability.
Sneaky Posted July 7, 2022 Author Share #2 Posted July 7, 2022 Also, if anybody knows what the markings mean I’d be very thankful. I’ve tried to research them but to no avail since they are incredibly vague.
dustin Posted July 7, 2022 Share #3 Posted July 7, 2022 Google "US Navy MAB radio" and you'll have a lot of answers.

Thank you so much, I was searching for Jeep radios because thats what I’ve been told. I see now how he could smuggle it out, and he was a marine. Now I have to find the radio and headset haha
