Spanish American War(?) era artillery bolt

Hello forum.

I just found this bolt at the flea market this morning. My hunch is that it is an artillery bolt from the 1890s or early 1900s. Maybe naval?

I know this is old but did you ever find out what this is? I have one too. I reached out to Aberdeen Proving Grounds museum years ago and they didn't know what it was.
