robinb Posted February 24, 2009 Share #1 Posted February 24, 2009 Here's a Red Cross flag that I have. 6' square and reversible. Brass grommets placed evenly around the edge. No markings, but it does have a "cutter tag" in one corner. Any ideas as to how or what this was used for?
QED4 Posted February 24, 2009 Share #2 Posted February 24, 2009 It is actually not a flag but a marker panel. It would be ties flat to the top of a tent or staked on the ground so it could be seen from the air for identification. According to the Geneva Convention medical unit were not to be attacked.
