DocRick Posted February 23, 2009 Share #1 Posted February 23, 2009 On ebay is a lift the dot jungle first aid kit. Is this a legitimate jungle first aid kit, not a first aid kit pouch or something totally fake?
craig_pickrall Posted February 23, 2009 Share #2 Posted February 23, 2009 Doc you need to post a larger pic and also it would be good to give a link to the ebay item.
Fixbayonets! Posted February 23, 2009 Share #3 Posted February 23, 2009 From that tiny photo it looks like the carrier for the U.S. Army Air Force E-17 survival kit. Rob

11b inf Posted February 24, 2009 Share #8 Posted February 24, 2009 hey fix bayonets yes you are correct it's a carrier/pouch for an U.S.Army Airforce E-17 'personal aids kit'..and not a first aid pouch...it was used during ww2 and into korea...it was a two part kit, one was a general kit and the other was a medical kit, both kits were carried in a plastic type of flask also used to hold water..the pouch also held a ESM-1 signal mirrior....the contents in the pouch in Doc Ricks picture are wrong, looks like a odd collection of old style field dressings...vince g. 11b inf
