cerick1450 Posted June 23, 2022 Share #1 Posted June 23, 2022 Hello I have been looking for an on line reference to determine the age of a Qualification badge, but can't seem to come across one. Here are tow that I have. One is just marked sterling and the other is marked NS Meyer, but no sterling mark. Are they both WW2? Is there an way to tell WW2 era from post war? Thank you. patches Posted June 23, 2022 Share #2 Posted June 23, 2022 Your Meyer is one from around 1954 till 1965, see the 9M in the shield, that's the Meyer code for that time period, the other, sure WWII era.

GAZOO Posted June 24, 2022 Share #6 Posted June 24, 2022 Sorry to hijack your thread but just noticed this was a recent posting about these badges and figured It would be easier to ask here first. Any information on the ERA / Time Frame or even if this is U.S. ? Recently found this MARKSMAN PISTOL-D Badge in an old box saved from the late 60s early 70s that included a lot of marksman badges but this one I have not been able to find in my limited internet research Stamped STERLING with an N in a Circle only on the back of the Cross Also the Cross is Convex (bowed) Thanks for any help
CDWells Posted June 25, 2022 Share #7 Posted June 25, 2022 The "Rifle-D" clasp was valid on US Army badges from 1921 to 1948. Field made for some reason?
