After 20+ years of searching, finally found a medal I've been looking for. Verona, PA WW1 victory medal. Named to Albert H. Miller, 10th Field Artillery. 3rd Division.  It came with captured EK2 with parade ribbon and Ek2 ring.  I used to walk past his home as a child on the way to elementary school.

Outstanding group -- congratulations.  The Verona medal by itself is a rare find.  In a group to a 3rd Division veteran with a 5-bar Victory Medal, etc., and from your area makes it much more special.

Thanks, it was great to finally find this.   I didn't meet him back then, I believe he passed away in the 1950s.  The few WW1 vets that I remember were in nursing homes.  An old German WW1 vet taught me how to place chess there. He was a machine gunner in the war and always pointed out that he never fought Americans, just the English and French.
