Junior45 Posted June 19, 2022 Share #1 Posted June 19, 2022 Hi All, Just wanted to share this addition. I unfortunately don't live at home for now due to work, but had the opportunity to come back for a few days and open the parcels My top buy for the period is a good looking 1st pattern Low Pressure Saint Clair, green inside, complete and Camouflaged with potential Id. the leather chin strap is the riveted version, but is quite dry and particularly fragil at the hinges... To be handled with care.. I have a vague idea this liner was in Peter Oosterman's book on M1s but since I do not own it I cannot confirm.. There is a hand written laundry number with initials: ESM 5619 After some digging I do believe the helmet to belong to Edward S Monroe of Suffolk Massachusetts. Born June 29th 1916, died June 22th 1997. He enlisted Mai 16 1942 with ASN 31095619. I did find an article on Newspaper.com for him, relating to his death but not a lot more. I'll see to get in touch with St Louis at some point, hopefully they may be able to shade more light. Other Pictures are better than words so please see below Hope you like it as much as I do! Cheers Junior

Blueprint Posted June 19, 2022 Share #3 Posted June 19, 2022 Great piece! Especially with the early chinstrap and rayon webbing! The condition of the interior is extraordinary! I slightly remember seeing this lid in Oostermans book as well.
