dhcoleterracina Posted June 14, 2022 Share #2 Posted June 14, 2022 A very nice early PH from WW2 however these could have been issued well into the VN War era. Well done.

Well done. Thanks, just wanted to make sure it was made during WWII. I'm missing the ribbon.
Hermanus Posted June 15, 2022 Share #4 Posted June 15, 2022 This is a Rex Products contract Purple Heart. Contract date July 1st, 1942, roughly for the numbers 100,001 to 400,000. As said before issued in WW2 to even Vietnam. Regards Herman
Fromthepastcollections Posted August 1, 2022 Share #5 Posted August 1, 2022 One other thing to help identify a potential time period of when it was manufactured would be to black light the medal and the ribbon. iIf it doesn't glow its older like ww2 era possibly Korean war era. And if it does glow it is definitely modern (Vietnam and after) I cant remember the specifics off the top of my head so I just had to give the general idea.
