collector Posted February 23, 2009 Share #1 Posted February 23, 2009 I know this is a tourniquet, but that's it, can someone out there tell me more about it? The buckle has a big anchor on it.
hawkdriver Posted February 23, 2009 Share #2 Posted February 23, 2009 For years, we carried these in our aircrew survival vest until the C.A.T. tourniquet's came along. For awhile, these were made of nylon, but they were bulky and sucked at keeping tension, so the canvas ones were a little more sought after. When you roll it up, leave about two inches of the tail loose, put the tourniquet in the upper shoulder pocket on the SRU-21 survival vest with the tail sticking out the pocket so that you can grab it with your teeth if you need to. Not very rare, they can be found quite readily.
