no tools in it...cant imagine too many of these floating around...

appears to be unused

I doubt it was a line box, maybe inshop for engine overhaul or a packing/shipping kit for a broke plane off station... 

about 2 ft square or so and about 30 pounds empty

Drawers are have slots for tools and each slot numbered AT-XXXX for the matching tool...IE the ratchet is AT-8022

Now that’s not something you see every day. Thanks for sharing, a must have for any P-51 fan. Maybe Tom Cruise (Maverick) needs one.

Great find! All you need now is the Packard tool roll, and lots of tools!

The fingers and this Eagle oil can came from the Dover AFB hydraulic shop, sold surplus from the late 60’s or so and sat in storage …
