AustinO Posted May 18, 2022 Share #4 Posted May 18, 2022 The liner is mid to late 1950s. How much were they asking for it?
Historycollector61 Posted May 18, 2022 Author Share #5 Posted May 18, 2022 It’s my friends he was asking 150. Would it be easy to remove the ranger insignia
Justin Posted May 19, 2022 Share #6 Posted May 19, 2022 The shell is made by schlueter. So it's a WWII manufactured shell. The liner with OD #7 HBT webbing is from the 1950s and sweatband with nomenclature stamp on the inside facing of the sweatband is from the 70s or early 80s. It's a Frankenstein lid and for $150 I'd pass.
Ronnie Posted May 20, 2022 Share #7 Posted May 20, 2022 That’s a bunch of work to remove that Insignia. I would suggest that you hold on to your money and another one will pop up. Ronnie
TheGoose Posted May 23, 2022 Share #8 Posted May 23, 2022 Hard pass.
Bugme Posted May 23, 2022 Share #9 Posted May 23, 2022 Sorry, but there just isn't $150 worth of helmet here and then you still have to remove that mess on the back. Save your money and find an unmessed with helmet in which all parts are from the same generation.
