The liner is mid to late 1950s.  How much were they asking for it?

It’s my friends he was asking 150. Would it be easy to remove the ranger insignia

The shell is made by schlueter. So it's a WWII manufactured shell. The liner with OD #7 HBT webbing is from the 1950s and sweatband with nomenclature stamp on the inside facing of the sweatband is from the 70s or early 80s. It's a Frankenstein lid and for $150 I'd pass.

That’s a bunch of work to remove that Insignia. I would suggest that you hold on to your money and another one will pop up.

Sorry, but there just isn't $150 worth of helmet here and then you still have to remove that mess on the back. Save your money and find an unmessed with helmet in which all parts are from the same generation.
