Perrin AFB 53-56

Hello from Norh Carolina (Was from Memphis when I joined the AF in July 1952)

 Just signed on as a new member. 

 

Anyone still around who was at Perrin AFB  53-56? I was on the flightline as ground crew on F86-d. Was also on the Rocket Team.

Where's' (or where was) Perrin AFB?  I was at Bragg and know where PopeAFB and Seymour-Johnston AFB are located.

Perrin AFB was in North Texas near Sherman &Denison. Closed in1971. Pilot training.

Mel,

 

don't ask me why I thought you were in NC?  I drove across Texas once, Houston, San Antonio and El Paso.  Also went down to Laredo and across the river.  I wouldn't do it today, unless they started giving out "Combat Infantry Badges".  Which they should be doing!
