cagedfalcon Posted May 12, 2022 Share #1 Posted May 12, 2022 What is this round & what's it worth? It's dated 1957 . Wanted $500, that's not going to happen. Says it weights 50#. Link to comment
Brian Keith Posted May 12, 2022 Share #2 Posted May 12, 2022 Guessing 90mm anti-aircraft training round? Maybe a tank round? BKW Link to comment
Mr.Jerry Posted May 12, 2022 Share #3 Posted May 12, 2022 I would concur 90mm training round. Heavy. Kind of rare, but not $500 rare. Link to comment
917601 Posted May 12, 2022 Share #4 Posted May 12, 2022 Loading dummy. Used in loading/ firing training drills. Measure the area just above the neck for positive ID, it is either a 90mm or 105mm HE tank round as opposed to APC. Link to comment
lilfry14 Posted May 13, 2022 Share #5 Posted May 13, 2022 Definitely not worth $500. Last one I saw sold went for about $150. Link to comment

cagedfalcon Posted May 14, 2022 Author Share #7 Posted May 14, 2022 All ours & not anywhere near asking price. It's a late model made if steel & not bronze like the M12s Link to comment
cagedfalcon Posted May 14, 2022 Author Share #8 Posted May 14, 2022 Little bit of size vaiation. Link to comment
doyler Posted May 14, 2022 Share #9 Posted May 14, 2022 I just sold 3 of the steel and wood Navy drill rounds for $125 each and glad to see them go. No wonder people price sh-it so high in shops when they see prices like this when doing "research" Link to comment
917601 Posted May 14, 2022 Share #10 Posted May 14, 2022 90mm-120mm tank rounds. I posted a sort of reference guideline for easy ID years ago. Link to comment
SubgunFun Posted May 22, 2022 Share #11 Posted May 22, 2022 I have a bronze one that came from a scrap dealer. And the darn thing is missing the base. I don't know why they made them with a removable base. Talk about a hard item to find. Still, one of the better made drill cartridges out there. Link to comment
917601 Posted May 22, 2022 Share #12 Posted May 22, 2022 Alittle off subject, but here is a nice Navy 3”/50 loading dummy, with original canister. Link to comment
