atb Posted May 3, 2022 Share #1 Posted May 3, 2022 As I consider downsizing/refocusing my collection, I am looking at some of my medals to sell. One pair I have is an Army Spanish Campaign w/ first style ribbon, "No." numbered, and a NYS Spanish/Philippines/China Service medal. Both are attributed to a soldier who served with the 71st NY Volunteers. The Spanish Campaign I am sure checks out to the soldier by number. Is there a way to confirm by its number (#8760) the NYS medal? Are the records available?
ydhunter26 Posted May 9, 2022 Share #2 Posted May 9, 2022 Can you provide the number on the Spanish Campaign so it can be checked out? I have been looking for medals belonging to Kellogg Casey who served in the 71st New York during the Span-Am War. The New York Span-Am medal (#8760) is not listed as one of the traceable medals.
