Photo from the WW1 lot I got. Tractors and carts & caissons.  What was the official name of these?

The artillery tractor in the top photograph appears to be a Model 55 which was manufactured by Holt from 1918 to 1919. Note the side armor of the engine compartment is open.  The armored box on the other end next to the driver protects the fuel tank. Very nice photographs!!

Correction -- The production run of the Model 55 was from 1917 to 1919.

Yep, Holt the predecessor to Cat. Cat used to have a collection in Peroia.

FYI ... I just posted these on the "bay" in a mixed ww1 photo lot.
