Persian Gulf Command Posted May 2, 2022 Share #1 Posted May 2, 2022 Was at a Wedding in Newport, RI and Stumbled on a great museum in the center of a small town in Wakefield, RI. (South Kingston). The WWII Foundation Museum holding the collection of Ken Rendell. Mr. Rendell was at the museum the day of my visit and we had a nice discussion; he was quite gracious and welcoming. Most of the items were displayed openly so you could really examine items closely. Very few things were behind glass. Definitely worth the visit if in the area but check before to make sure they are open. I was there on Saturday when the hours were 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. ScottG Posted May 10, 2022 Share #2 Posted May 10, 2022 Great pics and some pretty awesome stuff in there! Seems to me I recall him selling a museum in Boston or Baltimore some years ago and then something went south with the place?? Perhaps he has since moved to Rhode Island with the remaining items?
