MrJitters Posted February 21, 2009 Share #1 Posted February 21, 2009 These came off a AFH M1 bayonet. However, I know little of these, and they do not match any pictures of the grips on Gary's Bayo Points #23. Are these real or repops? They appear to be in the same condition as the rest of the bayonet, certainly not in new condition by any means. Thanx.

37thguy Posted February 25, 2009 Share #4 Posted February 25, 2009 Look original to me. They appear to have nice honest wear to both. Anybody else?
MrJitters Posted February 26, 2009 Author Share #5 Posted February 26, 2009 Thanx for the reply 37thguy! Well, I've done a little informal research on my own. I've gone on Ebay and asked questions to the sellers of various m1's. The trend seems to be the type of grip I have pictured is on the M1 bayo and mainly AB (Auburn Buttonworks) on the cut down 1905's. I stress this is very unscientific and may mean nothing. I wrote this seller and the description he gave me describes the grips I have pictured. http://cgi.ebay.com/US-garand-bayonet-grip...93%3A1|294%3A50
