A Rosie The Riveter

Thought I'd show a recent acquisition of mine, a real "Rosie The Riveter" denim shirt and coveralls.  Came with her "E" For Excellence pin and a Pratt & Whitney shoulder patch. Unfortunately it is not named. The head scarf is a reproduction.  I've also added this to the Rosie The Riveter thread in "Women Services".

Love the shirt and coveralls, living down the road from the Yankee Air Museum makes me despise the bandana thing... They have "tribute Rosies" and are a so militant about the dress that it undermines the actual history. My Grandmother worked in a diamond tool plant and did not like the name "Rosie the Riveter," she said she had to have a clearance to work with the diamonds, and in her southern accent  "weren't no dang riveter".  A very unique and rare find you have, great display!   Scott.
