I assume it is from WWI and you can tie it to... what ever... to look arround the corner - or so... I realy don´t know. Maybe someone can help me with this. I guess the missing part must be a mirror or prism. As mentioned when I look through is I can look around the corner. Question ist where this part belongs to. I would also guess from the web straps that it is British.
