I have had this in my collection since 1968 but just got curious about it and started doing some basic research. I see the 146th FA Regt. was also authorized the Campagne-Marne and Aisne-Marne campaign credits. I assume the missing bars on Blize's medal means that he was not in the 146th for these engagements and since the bars were awarded for individual battle credits, I would think this means he was just in France at the time or with another unit in the Defense Sector. I don't know if my thinking is correct on this matter, but I still think it is a neat piece and wanted to share it.

 41st Division infantry units were broken up for replacements but the artillery regiments, 146th and 148th FA fought in many major battles and engagements.
