usmedalman Posted April 15, 2022 #1 Posted April 15, 2022 I have had this in my collection since 1968 but just got curious about it and started doing some basic research. I see the 146th FA Regt. was also authorized the Campagne-Marne and Aisne-Marne campaign credits. I assume the missing bars on Blize's medal means that he was not in the 146th for these engagements and since the bars were awarded for individual battle credits, I would think this means he was just in France at the time or with another unit in the Defense Sector. I don't know if my thinking is correct on this matter, but I still think it is a neat piece and wanted to share it.
12thengr Posted April 15, 2022 #2 Posted April 15, 2022 41st Division infantry units were broken up for replacements but the artillery regiments, 146th and 148th FA fought in many major battles and engagements.
