drac2k Posted April 4, 2022 #1 Posted April 4, 2022 This is a fascinating scrapbook of an early American Submarine that was in service from 1918 to 1945 and it saw WW2 Combat against the Japanese Navy. It has 151 pages of articles, comics, pictures(mostly of girls),etc.. This sailor appears to have served from 1928 to 1931.
29navy Posted April 5, 2022 #2 Posted April 5, 2022 This seemed to be a common activity for sailors of the Asiatic Fleet. I have one from a sailor on of the destroyers.
drac2k Posted April 5, 2022 Author #3 Posted April 5, 2022 Funny, I never thought of those rugged sailors compiling scrapbooks, LOL.
Josh B. Posted April 7, 2022 #4 Posted April 7, 2022 I have one like this. So much random history inside. Great stuff and thank you for sharing. josh
drac2k Posted April 7, 2022 Author #5 Posted April 7, 2022 It's like a time capsule; music, fashion(pictures of girls), pictures and articles of ships, politics, cartoons, hotel and bar receipts, etc.
