WW2 FS FB M1 Helmet w/ Painted, Non-Standard Captains Bars

Hello folks! Just joined this forum last night and wanted to share some of my items. Today I’ll be showing you my WW2 Captains M1.

 

The shell is a front seam, fixed bail Schleuter with the heatstamp 55A S, signifying early/mid 1943 production. Chinstraps are OD 3, with raised brass hardware. Rim is stainless steel.

 

The liner is MSA, retaining 95+% of its original paint. It features OD 3 suspension with a (presumably) replaced, non adjustable napestrap.

I recognize this one :).  Great Patina and always nice to see a Schlueter fixed loop.

Yep, I had to go out and take some new pictures to change it up a bit from the Reddit post haha.
