I want to say that the liner is post Vietnam (has snap in suspension), the helmet is actually a French one (M51?) and the helmet cover is a non-US produced type.

The cover manufacturer used to also make woodland BDUs that were 100% cotton and were a popular private purchase uniform in the late 90's, early 2000's (before the ACU).

They weren't very durable but they were within regulations and the cotton took starch much better than the 50/50 government issue BDUs.

the helmet shell isnt quite misshapen enough to be m51, definitely euroclone though, 1980s chinstraps, liner suspension is 1987 dated, liner could be very late vietnam, though probably post war, cover is a woodland cover, so most definitely post vietnam.

Thanks! Those euroclones are like a lawless wasteland.

the m51 is my least favourite euroclone, but in other parts of the world... the israeli clone has the chinstrap loops riveted in through the steel, rather than welded, wierd 3 point attachment chinstrap, often odd bluish grey or black coloring, and a low steel quality

ELH is spot on, it’s a euro clone of some kind.
