Freshman Posted February 19, 2009 Share #1 Posted February 19, 2009 Hi! I recently bought this Jump Wing and I am concerned if it is an original period item. The mounting seems to be ok but on all the other pieces I saw was the Sterling marking on the right side instead of the left. I don't even know if this is important. So here are the pictures:

Abn Inf Posted February 19, 2009 Share #5 Posted February 19, 2009 For what it's worth. I own 5 sets of Jump Wings that have the raised Sterling mark on the left, two came from Korean war Vets who served with the 187th RCT, the other three came from WW2 Vets. The two wings from the Korea time frame could have been carry overs from WW2. The two Vets who owned the wings graduated from Jump school in 1948 and 1949.
