Ollkorrekt37 Posted March 15, 2022 Share #1 Posted March 15, 2022 Hello, and here is another one of my many M1917s. Maybe I have too many but who truly knows 😄 I picked this up due to it having some interesting markings, and I haven't the slightest to what they mean, so perhaps some experts could help me on them. It has an odd cross or emblem, I would not know what this means, maybe insignia? The rest goes as "D.I.W.C.I. U.S.A. 1 C.L.D." Every letter looked like it had full stops from how it looked under a flashlight. Maybe they're initials? A slogan? The only thing for certain is the U.S.A.! The only other notable thing is "angel 6" written in pencil on the inside. Everything looks to be standard. ZD 75 markings, and the copper rivet appears to have a star pattern on the bottom. If anyone could tell me on the meaning of this, I'd appreciate it. Thanks again.
