Gift from the Royal Thai Navy to Lt. Col. Milton A. Hull, USMC

Beautiful cigarette case.  Anyone have an idea what Lt. Col. Hull's valuable service to the Thai Royal Navy was?  Red dots with dates are mine.  One thing I do know is that he died too young.

Haven't found an answer yet to my question, but I did find some info about him.  Silver Star in WW2; Navy Cross in Korea and command the 3rd Marines in Viet Nam.  Could be he worked with the Thai Navy on amphibious tactics and training?
