digi-shots Posted March 6, 2022 Share #1 Posted March 6, 2022 Came across these while going thru some ammo. Other than .30 carbine, what other weapon would have used this ammo? Link to comment
Brian Keith Posted March 6, 2022 Share #2 Posted March 6, 2022 As far as I know, in the WW II Era, the US M1 Carbine was the only issue weapon that fired this round. Those are nice rounds in an M1 magazine. BKW Link to comment
dmar836 Posted March 7, 2022 Share #3 Posted March 7, 2022 I can see these more in use with the M-2 in Korea though obviously made and used in WWII. Pretty neat. Link to comment

silverplate Posted April 27, 2022 Share #5 Posted April 27, 2022 Interesting history. They were developed by Remington at the request of the British in 1943. Remington started with the T-24, later standardized as the M16. Lake City also produced M16 tracer rounds, but used a red label on the WWII-era cartons. They were used only in the M1/M2 carbine.
