There were a total of seven—possibly eight—expeditions recognized by what are commonly referred to as Boat Bars. The eighth possible Boat Bar is Punto Colorado, which remains unverified, but is highly likely. This expedition, to cut the telegraph cables from Cienfuegos, was the most highly publicized of these small boat actions. There were 55 Medals of Honor awarded for this action, one posthumously, and there were eleven men wounded. Despite the significance of this action, I have been unable to find proof of the existence of a Punto Colorado bar. Can anyone verify the existence of this bar and possibly supply a photograph of it?

The seven verified Boat Bars that I have been able to verify aare Cape San Juan, August 8; Nueva Gerona, August 4; Cortes Bay, August 2; Guanica, P.R., July 25; Isle of Pines, July 5; Cabanas Bay, June 17; and Santiago, June 3.
