INIMICUS Posted February 22, 2022 Author #2 Posted February 22, 2022 SORRY OLD DISCUSSION THREAD LINK WOULD NOT EMBED, (YOU CAN LOOK IT UP THO BY TITLE) ANYHOW I HAVE SOME OF THIS APPARENTLY OSS-SUPPLIED-TO-THE RESISTENCE AMMO. HEADSTAMP 'W.R.A. 9 M-M.' MINE'S IN 50-ROUND BOXES VS. THE 64. I'M TOLD THIS IS PRETTY RARE. HERE'S ANOTHER DISCUSSION ON A CARTRIDGE COLLECTORS' SITE https://forum.cartridgecollectors.org/t/date-of-manufacture-on-w-r-a-9-m-m-wr01f/1956 APPRECIATAE THE HELP, THANKS.
ccyooper Posted February 22, 2022 #3 Posted February 22, 2022 I believe the consensus is that it was made primarily for the Brits, it came in 50 and 64 round boxes if I recall correctly. The 64 round box fits the Sten Gun mags as they were 32 round. I expect we shipped it to other countries as well but I think that was the primary export besides the canadians and britts. I'm sure the ammo gurus will follow up. Regards
INIMICUS Posted February 22, 2022 Author #4 Posted February 22, 2022 Thanks, CCYOOPER. yes, please ammo wonks come in!
Linedoggie Posted February 22, 2022 #5 Posted February 22, 2022 UD42 was also 9mm and used by OSS. IIRC some 14-15K were made
INIMICUS Posted February 22, 2022 Author #6 Posted February 22, 2022 Super rare bird -- and in great shape! were these lend-lease / airdropped to maquis etc. in ETO (or oss-dropped to indig.fighters + other friendlies in the PTO)? thanks
