ShibaLegend Posted February 20, 2022 Share #1 Posted February 20, 2022 Ok so i have had this vietnam helmet with 173rd airborne brigade for 2 years now. I have asked in other places before about why my helmet would have the unit painted on, one of the answers i got has been perplexing me. Apparently said person told me that this was a iron on decal similar to the usmc stamps being put on uniforms or helmet covers. However i have never heard anything more about iron on decals nor have i ever seen another example of a helmet like this. So my question is, was the person who told me this was a iron on decal correct? Or was this done by someone after the war?
gwb123 Posted February 20, 2022 Share #2 Posted February 20, 2022 Iron On rank was sold by a company by the name of Ken Nolan. Please see the following thread.
