Okay, this took me way too long because I’m still getting used to the NARA, but here’s his air medal card.

Thank you very much him and I both worked at Ge for years until he retired and now i am retired my mother was Lillian Sweeney mentioned as his sister in his obit. I regret that I never asked him things about the war gut knew only about the 8th My cousin his son was in the Air Force and got stationed in Germany he ended up marrying a german girl my uncle and aunt went to Germany for the wedding come to find out the brides father had been in the german air force, my uncle told him Germany looked better from the ground than the last time he had been t here flying over

Those are the general order numbers for the medal, and then the subsequent OLCs. 45 would be the year.
