wartimecollectables.com Posted February 12, 2022 Share #1 Posted February 12, 2022 This one is 'out of the woodwork' and traced out rather interesting. WWII sewn broach Purple Heart with large font naming to Clarence E. Edwards, below that has been neatly period hand engraved Nov. 3, 1943. A bit of sleuthing found a Missing Aircrew Report detailing his mission on that date. T/Sgt. Edwards was aircrew in a B-17 flying with the 578th Bomb Sqdn. 392nd Bomb Group when he bailed out over Wilhelmshaven, Germany and taken prisoner.
